Remuneration:
Successful  applicants  will  qualify  for  compensation  that  will  be  based  on  an
hourly  tariff  of   R190.00
. Applicants  must  take  note  they  only  qualify  for  compensation  when  they  attend  a  sitting  of  the board.
Requirements:
Must be literate and fluent in English and the language spoken in a particular area. Preferably
in possession of a matric certificate or equivalent
. Proof that he/she is a respectable and acceptable person in
the community. Should be a resident of the community that the board serves. Experience in the activities of
community forums and meeting procedures. A special interest in the criminal justice sy
stem will be an added
advantage.
Responsibilities:
Attend sessions of the board as and when requested. Act as facilitator of community reint
e-
gration  on the  part of  the offenders. Protect  the  interest of  the  community, offender  and  the  state.  Ensure
objec
tive and fair application of the release policy. Perform ad hoc tasks as determined by the board. Ensure
confidentiality in terms of parole board meetings, decisions and documentation
