Position:Senior Administration Officer

Department:  Corporate Legal
Division:Properties and Legal Services
Salary:R208 452 - R270 576 per annum (plus benefits)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in  Municipal Administration / Legal Degree
  • Computer literacy
  • Valid driver's license
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Relevant experience in property management

Preferred Requirements:

  • Any specialised  field related to land administration
  • Property management course
  • Certificate in Estate Agency
  • Report writing skill

Core Responsibilities:

  • Write  letters and reports
  • Execute Council resolutions
  • Administer and prepare all necessary documents on permanent / temporary closure of roads and parks
  • Attend to alienation and leasing of Council owned properties
  • Execute property portfolio of the Council within the region  to ensure proper development and compliance with legislation, Council resolutions, Council's policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Proclamation of roads in terms of relevant legislation
  • Check and control property related documents
  • Supervise functions of staff in section to ensure compliance to legislation and Council policies
  • Attend to township and township planning related matters
